We have seen a big shift in the Creta’s design over the years and the same is expected from the next-gen model. Something along the lines of the latest Palisade sold in the overseas markets can be expected. Inside the cabin, an all-new layout paired with an enhanced feature set will be a part of the package. The next-gen Creta will feature the brand’s latest software suite which will support wireless Andriod Auto and Apple CarPlay in the top-spec trims.

Next-Gen Hyundai Creta Launch: Platform & Powertrain

Internally codenamed SX3, the 3rd-gen Creta will likely feature a highly modified platform which will also support a hybrid powertrain. In order to achieve a better safety rating, Hyundai is expected to further reinforce the underpinnings.

Under the hood, the familiar 1.5-litre tGDi petrol and 1.5-litre CRDi turbo diesel engines will continue to power the new-gen Creta. The continuation of the diesel engine will depend on whether Hyundai decides to upgrade this motor for the upcoming BS7 emission norms. In addition to this, a strong hybrid powertrain setup could also be introduced with the next-gen model, featuring a 1.5 petrol engine and an electric motor.
